Reflection of Spirit

Teton Valley Hospital Foundation reflects our community's generous spirit and unwavering commitment to Teton Valley Hospital.

The Foundation is a non-profit 50l(c)(3) corporation whose sole purpose is to raise charitable gifts in support of our county hospital.

Charitable contributions are essential to enable our hospital to make capital improvements and enhance health programs and services. They also allow the hospital to keep pace with technological advances and professional development trends.

All gifts to the Foundation directly benefit patients and community, and are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Current Campaigns

Teton Valley Hospital Emergent Facility Needs Fund

The fund supports the Teton Valley Hospital “Emergent” needs. The fund is for sudden, unanticipated needs that directly impact patient care, or are used to fund a priority rising from low to high suddenly. Currently, the fund’s top priorities include a colonscope and information technology updates.

Unrestricted Funds

The fund supports Teton Valley Hospital capital needs, along with the operating capital for the Teton Valley Hospital Foundation. Currently, the fund’s top priorities include an anesthesia machine, EKG machine, microscope, computer equipment for endoscopy procedures, and surgical equipment.

Betsy Bigley Memorial Fund for Diabetic Education

Betsy was a dedicated employee of Teton Valley Hospital who battled with Type I diabetes. After her untimely death at the age of 44, the community made contributions to a fund that was later named, “The Betsy Bigley Memorial Fund.” Teton Valley Hospital Foundation is honored to administer the memorial fund to provide diabetic education to the community. These funds support diabetic education by providing one-on-one counseling, free community workshops, and medical staff training. The fund also provides free or discounted insulin, equipment and healthcare of underinsured patients.

Don Betts Fund

Friends and family of community member and local veterinarian, Don Betts have set up a fund that is used exclusively to expand hospital staff training and educational programs.

Employee Gifts Fund

Staff members of the “Gave at the Office” (GATO) Club contribute to the Teton Valley Hospital Foundation through a deduction of their regular pay. All charitable proceeds benefit the working environment of Teton Valley Health Care. Staff contributions were recently pooled to purchase a new range for the Dietary Department.

CT Scanner Fund

The fund provides monies for a new, or refurbished 16-slice CT Scanner. Hospital administration and medical staff have concluded that our current 4-slice CT equipment will require replacement within the next two years. A 16-slice will serve our rural critical access hospital needs and aid in healthcare recommendations.

To make a donation to any of these Teton Valley Hospital Foundation funds, or if there is a specific piece of equipment or funding you would like to support, please call the Teton Valley Hospital Foundation at 354-6317, ext 181.
