George Linhardt, MD

George Linhardt, MD is board-certified with the American Board of Surgery. He specializes in general surgery with additional expertise in breast surgery and reconstruction.

Dr. Linhardt completed his B.A. Degree in Chemistry and Pre Doctoral Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He earned his Doctorate and completed his internship at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He served as Chief Administrative Resident at the University of Maryland.

Dr. Linhardt offers surgical procedures that include endoscopy, appendectomy, stomach and colon surgery, hernia repair and more. He has pioneered many advances in the treatment of breast diseases including the following:

 

  • Introduced breast conservation on therapy for malignant conditions of the breast
  • Introduced immediate reconstruction on with mastectomy for patients not candidates for breast conservation
  • Development of Breast Rapid Access Program
    • Offers prompt consultation to patients and providers for breast-related concerns
    • Allays fears for patients and providers
    • Assumes responsibility and management if desired

Common breast conditions seen in consultation are mastodynia (breast pain), masses or concerns about masses, abnormal mammograms, nipple discharge, second opinion, high risk surveillance and follow-up treatment.
